Kurt is an International Sail and Power Association (ISPA) Yachtmaster Ocean trained sailor. He is a certified ISPA and Sail Canada (SC) Instructor and has also achieved interim approval to instruct SC Celestial Navigation courses. Kurt's interest and passion for Celestial Navigation involves the most basic on the water application for navigation to the extreme of computation by spherical trigonometry and clearing of lunar distances. This interest wishes to be expressed in teaching others about the practical and magical use of the arcane art of Celestial Navigation in our current GPS age of technology. Kurt has obtained Celestial Navigation certification with the ISPA, Royal Yachting Association and SC, and has solid on the water experience.
