Pam Wall's honeymoon in 1972 was crossing the Atlantic on a 30 foot timber sloop. Her first ocean passage was happily spent sailing with no radios, no electronic navigation equipment, and a black bucket for a toilet. Once home sailing back across the Atlantic, Pam and her husband, Andy, built their Freya 39 sloop. After sailing their two small children around the world on KANDARIK, Pam worked at West Marine in Fort Lauderdale for 20 years. Pam and Andy sailed their boat across the Atlantic three times after returning home from their circumnavigation.
Pam helps cruisers have the right equipment for their boats, and is a source for information on the cruising lifestyle, routes and sailing information, and helping encourage new cruisers.
