Stephanie McKenzie, is the Project Manager for Get out on the Water with Ontario Sailing and ROWONTARIO. She has spent her life enjoying the recreational side of sailing by way of her parent’s boat – Soca Sailor, an Irwin 38 out of Lakeshore Yacht Club and now is a recent boat owner herself with her Fiance Will French, proudly owning a CS 27: SOCA JUNKIE. Being of Bajan descent it would only seem a natural fit; her passion for being on the water, wind in her hair with an emphasis on leisure and family. In more recent years she has transitioned into the racing scene, having the opportunity to crew on multiple programs in both course as well as offshore racing. Some highlighted events include racing LYRA (Relentless: Farr40), and the 2014 IRC North American Champion (Rampage: Concordia47) as well as Lake Ontario 300 (Ginja Ninja: Merlin36). She is a key example of how sailing can grow with you your whole life, regardless if you want to be challenged or relax and enjoy the ride.
