Seminar Details

Protecting your favourite place to boat can feel overwhelming, but Swim Drink Fish Canada is determined to make it easy. At this workshop, you will learn how you can protect the water you love by simply sharing your stories about boating. Join us at this workshop and learn a thing or two about Canadian laws and how your stories matter. Protecting your right to navigate has never felt easier. Boaters of all levels (new and old) are welcome to join this interactive and pragmatic workshop. Bring your boating stories and come prepared to swap them!

About Claire Lawson

Claire grew up a sailor, power boater, and general water-enthusiast in both Halifax and Vancouver. Between university years, she worked as crew for the Canadian Coast Guard and for the False Creek Ferries on the west coast. She then went on to live in Sweden where she sailed and studied best practices for water management. Upon completing her M.Sc., she decided to move to Toronto and is now protecting our most treasured natural resource: water. She is currently working with Swim Drink Fish Canada and Lake Ontario Waterkeeper to increase water literacy with people for swimmable, drinkable, fishable (and navigable) waters.
