The Lake Celebrates 50 Years of Boating and Fun on the Water!

Let The Lake “Put Some Summer in Your Winter”! Prepare yourself to be awed as you experience the enjoyment of what an indoor lake can offer! Over 1 million gallons of water flood the Ricoh Coliseum to create this wonder, which is larger than an NHL rink.

This year, The Lake plays host to a variety of on-the-water activities, showcasing wakeboarding/wakeskating, fishing seminars, sailing, canoeing, kayaking, personal watercraft, boat handling demonstrations and more! The Lake will entertain, educate and invite you to get active and get boating!

Let’s Go Boating!

Get set to Discover Boating! Sign up for your free boat ride at the entrance to the Lake (south side by Heritage Court). Choose from kayaking, canoeing, paddleboats, sailing or try your hand at operating a remote controlled boat. The Lake welcomes all levels and types of boaters. For your boating safety, be sure to get your life jacket (supplied by Helly Hanson). Now you are ready to walk across the official dock of the Lake (provided by EZ Dock) and put some Summer in Your Winter!

Dusty Miller’s Boat Handling Demonstration

Dusty Miller has been at the helm all his life and for 25 years has taught boat handling one-on-one in a very unique way. Watch as Dusty is on The Lake teaching his audience how to control and dock a boat in all sorts of conditions. To learn more after the demonstrations, Dusty has a DVD available that will give you the confidence and ability to do much more aboard your boat.
